How To Install a
Blogger Template

This is a how to install a Blogger template guidance


This article is created to help you to understand the right way to install a Blogger template. Most users just copy and paste the code from the XML file into the template editor, which is wrong. Please do not copy and paste the template code. Always upload it by browsing the xml file through your template uploader. Follow the steps:

First, download the Blogger template you wish to install. The template may be contained in .zip file format. Unzip or extract the downloaded file.

Log in to your Blogger and go to Layout.

If you have already added widgets like Google adsense, Followers, Recent comments, Polls etc. then you may wish to save the code in Notepad just to be on the safe side. Click edit on each widget then copy code in Notepad or Wordpad etc.

Now Click on the EDIT HTML link.

Before uploading the new template, you may want to save a copy of your existing template by clicking on "Download Full Template" link. Now Click on the Browse button, and browse the new XML template file, and click Upload.

Now you will see a message as shown in the image below. Click on the CONFIRM & SAVE button and you are done.

DONE, Now your blog is ready with the new template.

Remove UNDEFINED DATE from a Post Calendar


To remove “UNDEFINED” Date from the post calendar - simply go to setting -> formatting -> Date Header Format and then change the format to (day, month, year).
Done.
